Privacy Policy – Shamna Player 2024

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the mobile application “Shamna Player 2024” (the “App”). The App provides a video player and access to freely available, non-copyrighted channels/streams. We do not host or store any third-party content on our servers.

If your copy of the App is branded under a different name, this Privacy Policy still applies unless a different policy is provided in-app or on our website.

1) Summary (TL;DR)

  • We do not require you to create an account and we do not directly collect personal information such as your name or email inside the App.
  • No personal data is sold, rented, or exchanged for money.
  • Streaming is from public, freely available sources that we do not control. When you open a stream, the hosting site may receive technical information like your IP address in order to deliver the content.
  • We may process non-personal diagnostics (e.g., crash logs) to keep the App reliable. These diagnostics do not identify you.
  • If you contact us for support, we will receive the information you choose to provide (e.g., your email) and use it to respond to you.

2) Scope and Controller

This policy applies to the App and any support websites we operate for the App. For the purposes of data protection laws, the data controller is:

3) What Data We Collect

3.1 Data we do not collect by default

The App does not require an account, login, or profile. We do not ask you to submit your name, phone number, government ID, payment information, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings.

3.2 Data processed to provide core functionality

  • Network & device information (transient): To request and play a stream, your device and network must communicate with the hosting site/CDN. Technical data such as IP address, device type, and user-agent may be processed by those third parties to deliver the stream. We do not control their systems; see Third-Party Services.
  • Local media access: If you use the App to play files stored on your device, the App accesses only the media you select. This stays on your device; it is not uploaded to us.

3.3 Diagnostics (non-personal)

To improve stability, the App may collect crash logs and performance metrics. These diagnostics do not include your name, email, or precise location, and are used solely to detect and fix issues.

3.4 Support communications

If you contact us by email or through a support form, we will process the information you provide (such as your email address and message) in order to respond and keep records consistent with applicable law.

4) App Permissions

The App may request the following permissions solely to provide expected functionality:

  • INTERNET – stream online content and check connectivity.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – detect network availability for playback.
  • READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13+) or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (older Android) – allow you to play video files stored on your device. Files are not uploaded to us.
  • WAKE_LOCK – keep the device awake during playback to avoid interruptions.

We do not request access to your contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, or microphone for the core video-player functionality.

5) How We Use Data

  • Provide and operate the App (e.g., load streams you select, play local media).
  • Diagnose, prevent, and resolve technical issues (e.g., analyze crash logs).
  • Communicate with you when you reach out for support.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

6) How We Share Data

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not share personal data with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
  • Service providers may process limited information under our instructions (e.g., crash analytics). They are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • When you open a third-party stream, the host of that stream may process technical data (e.g., IP address) to deliver the content. See Third-Party Services.
  • We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, our rights, or others.

7) Third-Party Services

The App can open publicly available streams hosted by third parties. Those third parties have their own privacy practices. Please review their privacy notices before using their services. Examples include content delivery networks (CDNs), hosting providers, or websites from which a stream originates.

Advertising & Analytics (if present): If a future version of the App includes ads or analytics, we may use providers such as Google AdMob or Firebase. These providers may collect identifiers (e.g., advertising ID) to provide non-personalized or personalized ads/analytics. You can opt out of ad personalization in your device settings: Settings > Google > Ads (options may vary by device/Android version). If we enable such services, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data Safety form accordingly.

8) Retention

We retain diagnostic data for as long as necessary to analyze and improve the App, then delete or anonymize it. Support emails may be kept as long as needed to address your request and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., legal compliance).

9) Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11) Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at ahmadsyriadev@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request.

12) Your Choices & Controls

  • Permissions: You can manage App permissions in your device settings at any time.
  • Ad personalization (if ads exist): You can disable ad personalization in your device settings. You may still see ads, but they should be less tailored.
  • Local data: You can clear the App cache or uninstall the App to remove locally stored data.
  • Support records: Email us to request deletion of support communications you previously sent.

13) International Transfers

We may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we implement safeguards such as contractual protections consistent with applicable data-protection laws.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or applicable laws. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be announced in-app.

15) Contact Us

If you have questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your information, contact us at:
